When i watched the original Martyrs for the first time, I thought I was so desensitized to horror that this movie was a complete assault on the senses. It left me humbled, sad and depressed for days and i must applause them for that. At the same time i don’t see the point in most remakes. They usually turn out way below par and somehow cheapens the original classics. But I dunno, remaking especially Martyrs..it’s like stirring up something best left alone.  I don’t know how to explain it. The original one was really really good so i’m hoping this turns out good..
